Tomorrow winds will continue to be moderate speeds, if not stronger. Wind gusts are predicted to get up to 40mph. Temps will be about the same. Looks like most of the day will be rainy.

Frisco Rod & Gun 3 Dogs Print

The Frisco Rod and Gun family has had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers as their family and shop dogs for over 40 years now. We have featured Thunder, Rip, Gen, and Sailor on different store tee shirts and they have been the most popular of the designs we have had. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers have been a breed that has proven their worth in the waters around Cape Hatteras, often mascots of the United States Lifesaving Station crews and historically hardy duck hunting partners. Not only that, they have greeted and visited with our customers through the decades!

We would like to introduce our newest generation of Chesapeakes to you on our new design. Taffy with her deadgrass color coat is on the top and litter mates Sadie and Captain are side by side underneath with their dark brown coats. Born and bred in Eastern North Carolina, these three can be found enjoying their Hatteras Island lifestyle of duck hunting, playing on the beach, or going for boat rides in the Pamlico Sound. You may even catch them here hard at work in the store!

Our three dogs join other icons of Hatteras Island on this print. Our famed Cape Hatteras Lighthouse that watches over all of us, the renowned gamefish of the surf, the Red Drum, the exciting Gulf Stream catch, the Blue Marlin and a favorite of the duck hunters, the Pintail are all here. Today’s high was 79 while the low was 72 with light to strong winds. Gusts up to 26mph. Currently it’s 75, feels like 80, with ENE winds around 7mph. Winds switched all over the place today. Tomorrow winds are anticipated to get up to strong speeds again with more temps in the 70s. Chance thunderstorms are predicted again as well. Fingers crossed the weather lets us still enjoy Day at the Docks tomorrow.
