• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with a temperature in the upper 70’s.  The winds were out of the north-east, blowing 15-25 mph at times.

    The Buxton beaches had reports of a few croaker and sea mullet.  Frisco beach had a few sea mullet as well.  Hatteras beaches had reports of bluefish and spanish mackerel.

    There is no inshore fishing report for today, due to the wind.  Two boats made it offshore today, they had good catches of wahoo, a few blackfin tuna and the yellowfin tuna were scattered.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

     

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with a temperature around 78.  The winds were mostly out of the north-east today, blowing 15 to 25 mph at times.

    Hatteras beach had reports of sea mullet, bluefish and pompano.  No reports from Frisco or Buxton today.

    There was no inshore or offshore fishing today, due to the wind.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low 80’s.  The winds were out of the west for most of the day, switching to the north-east this evening with showers and little wind.

    Cape Point opened up to driving this morning.  There were sea mullet, pompano and sharks caught this morning.  This afternoon, plenty of bluefish and some spanish mackerel.  Frisco beaches had some sea mullet.  Hatteras beaches had reports of sea mullet, croaker, pompano and a few bluefish.

    The inshore boats reported good red drum fishing, scattered bluefish and good spanish mackerel catches.

    It was a good day to fish offshore.  There were limits of wahoo, dolphin and blackfin tuna.  There were blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish released today.  The red snapper season reopened today and there were several caught.  The picture below is of “The Godspeed” with Jack, Simon & Mikey with their catch.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 80’s. The winds were from the south-west around 5-10 mph.

    Cape Point had reports of small bluefish and spanish mackerel. Just to the north of Cape Point were some pompano.  Frisco had reports of sea mullet.  Down on the Hatteras beach were sea mullet, spanish mackerel, bluefish, a few puppy drum and a few pompano.

    The boats that fished inshore caught gray and speckled trout, keeper puppy drum, spanish mackerel and bluefish

    The offshore boats had catches of wahoo, dolphin and blackfin tuna. There were a couple of white marlin released today also.  The picture below is the Tuna Duck with it’s white marlin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 80’s. The winds were from the east around 5-10 mph.

    The fishing at Cape Point was pretty good today with spanish mackerel and bluefish caught on lures. Over on the Frisco beach a few pompano, sea mullet and bluefish were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach and  Inlet there were some spanish mackerel, sea mullet, pompano and  bluefish.

    Today on the Avon Pier John Cain caught and released a sailfish while live bait fishing. They said pictures are to follow.  I will certainly post when I get them.

    The boats that fished inshore caught some speckled and gray trout and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound.  More good catches bluefish and spanish mackerel just outside the Inlet.

    The offshore boats had good wahoo fishing with a few dolphin and blackfin tuna caught.  5 sailfish were released.  Below is the “Good Times” charter boat with one of their wahoo catches today.
