• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with a few rain showers early this morning. The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    On the Buxton beach sea mullet and croakers were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet, black drum, bluefish and pompano were reported.   The Hatteras beach had bluefish and sea mullet caught.

    The inshore boats had real good catches of big red drum in the Pamlico Sound today.  The offshore fishing was slower today.  A few dolphin and wahoo were caught.  The billfishing was decent with 4 blue marlin and 3 white marlin released

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with south-west summer winds . The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

    On the Buxton beach sea mullet and pompano were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach real good pompano fishing, the picture in the previous post was one catch.  Some sea mullet and spot also reported.   The Hatteras beach had more variety with bluefish, sea mullet, flounder and spot caught.

    The inshore boats caught a few bluefish and speckled trout. A few puppy drum and a citation size red drum in the Pamlico Sound were caught.

    The offshore fishing was good today with gaffer dolphin catches and some blackfin tuna with a few wahoo. Better billfishing today with 4 white marlin and a couple of sailfish released.

  • Jim Simmons Pompano Catch in Frisco

    Jim Simmons of Frisco NC caught a nice mess of Pompano on the Frisco Beach today using sand flees, with the biggest of 5 weighing 1 lb 14 oz.  Pretty Work Jim!!!

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with more south-west summer winds . The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

    On the Buxton beach a few sea mullet, bluefish, pompano and even some spanish mackerel were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach and ramp 49 fishing was slower than yesterday.   Only a few croaker and sea mullet caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, sea mullet and spot were reported.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and puppy drum and a few citation size red drum in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore fishing was pretty good today with good dolphin catches and pretty good blackfin tuna with few wahoo and amberjacks reported. One blue marlin released with lots of billfish spotted hooked up and lost.

    Coming up this week July 10-13th is the 9th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam offshore fishing tournament.  This tournament is unique with its Hatteras Style, Fun filled tournament that has a winner take all Level for the first boat to catch a grand slam for the day.  A Grand Slam is catching a Blue Marlin, White Marlin and a Sailfish.  The Grand Slam JackPot rolls over every year if there is no winner.  So the pot is building.  Check out the picture below for information and good luck fishing.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a nice and sunny day. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

    On the Buxton,beach a few sea mullet and bluefish were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach and ramp 49 fishing was good today.  We had reports of  sea mullet, puppy drum, spot, pompano and bluefish.   Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, sea mullet and some croaker were reported.

    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and citation red drum.

    The offshore fishing was pretty good today with good dolphin catches and scattered blackfin and yellowfin tuna, wahoo, amberjack and a barracuda. One blue marlin released.
