• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny. The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

    On the Buxton,beach sea mullet, spot, croaker and sea mullet were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach some citation sea mullet, black drum, spot and citation pompano were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, sea mullet and a few flounder were reported.  The pictures below are two citations. a 2 lb 4 oz pompano caught by Jeffrey Madre and 2 lb 1 oz citation caught by Josh Kiser.  Pretty work guys.

    The inshore boats caught lots citation red drum.

    The offshore fishing was decent today with good dolphin catches and scattered blackfin and yellowfin tuna, wahoo and amberjack.. One white marlin released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

    On the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches there were croakers, sea mullet, bluefish, pompano and puppy drum reported.   The Frisco beach also had a nice black drum caught over on ramp 49.

    The inshore boats caught lots puppy drum.and a few citation red drum.

    The offshore fishing was pretty good today with good dolphin and blackfin tuna catches and a few wahoo caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with light winds The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

    On the Buxton and Frisco beaches there were croakers, sea mullet and bluefish and pompano reported.   The Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet and bluefish and a few puppy drum reported today.

    The inshore boats caught some speckled trout, some bluefish ,puppy drum.and a few cobia.

    The offshore fishng was a little better today with decent dolphin, some wahoo and blackfin tuna caught.

  • Celebrate Independence Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun 4th of July Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had beautiful weather with sunshine and light winds.  The winds were from the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

    On the Buxton beaches sea mullet and croaker were reported   On the Frisco beach the fishing was really good again today.  The Puppy drum bite is still happening, a few black drum, some nice pompano, croakers and spot were reported today.  The Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet and pompano.

    The pictures below are Howard Miller from Richmond Va with a puppy drum and a black drum caught on the Frisco beach today.

    The inshore boats caught speckled trout, some bluefish and  puppy drum.

    The offshore fleet had some decent gaffer dolphin, and a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  Once again there was a blue marlin, white marlin and a sailfish released today but all on different boats.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with a few rain showers early this morning.  The winds were from the south at 10-12 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

    On the Buxton beaches there were croakers, sea mullet and bluefish reported.  On the Frisco beach the fishing was pretty good with nice clear water.  The Puppy drum bite was real good, some nice pompano, croakers, spot and flounder were reported today.  The Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet and bluefish reported today.  The 2 pictures below are Howard Miller of Richmond Va with a 24″ puppy drum caught over the Ramp 49 in Frisco using a white gulp grub and Pamela Smith of Buxton NC with her 1 lb 9 oz pompano also caught over Ramp 49 today.

    The inshore boats caught gray and speckled trout, some bluefish, puppy drum, citation red drum and a few cobia.

    Most offshore boats fished today.  They caught a few dolphin, some blackfin tuna and wahoo.  There was a blue marlin, a white marlin and a sailfish released today, but not on the same boat.
