• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with temps around 75.  The winds were blowing north-north-east at 20-30 mph, with gusts to 35 mph.

    Folks are walking to the jetties in Buxton and catching puppy drum and small bluefish.  There is a few guys walking all the way to Cape Point and catching drum there as well.  In Frisco around the Frisco Pier and down toward the bath house folks have caught puppy drum, small bluefish, pompano, blow toads and a few spot. Hatteras had reports of puppy drum, small bluefish, sea mullet and spot.

    The inshore report for today is red drum.  There is no offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with a 50% chance of rain.  We had a high around 77.  It was breezy with north east winds 15-20 mph.

    Buxton had lots to report today.  There were puppy drum, bluefish, sea mullet, spot and croaker.  Frisco had some bluefish and a few puppy drum.  Hatteras had puppy drum, bluefish, flounder and pompano.

    The inshore boats caught red drum today.  The offshore fleet had a good day.  Good catches of dolphin and wahoo, yellowfin and blackfin tuna.  Pictured below is a yellowfin tuna on the “Bite Me”  There was 1 blue and 6 sails released today also.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast with a chance of rain.  Temperature in he mid 70’s with winds from the north at 5-10 mph.

    The Buxton beaches had puppy drum, bluefish, small flounder, sea mullet and spot.  Hatteras beach had reports of bluefish, pompano and black drum.

    The inshore boats had catches of puppy drum.  he offshore fleet had good catches of wahoo.  A few dolphin and blackfin tuna, with scattered yellowfin tuna.

    Today was overcast with a chance of rain.  High of 72 with winds from the west-north-west 15-20 mph.

    Buxton had some puppy drum.  Frisco beaches to Hatteras beaches had puppy drum, spot, croaker, sea mullet, flounder and bluefish.

    The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and some speckled trout.  The offshore boats had wahoo (few citations) dolphin, yellowfin and blackfin tuna.  There were a couple of sailfish releases today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast with chances of rain.  We had a high in the upper 70’s with winds out of the south-south-east, 5 to 15 mph.

    Fishing was better today.  Folks walked over to the jetties in Buxton this morning and had a blast catching puppy drum.  The bite slowed down this afternoon there though.  There was some puppy drum caught in Frisco also.  Hatteras had some puppy drum, pompano, sea mullet, spot and some bluefish.  Overall, not a bad day!

    There was no inshore report for today.  As far as offshore:  wahoo, dolphin, yellow and blackfin tuna.  There was also a blue marlin released.
