The high was 73 while the low was 66 with light to moderate winds. Gusts up to 26mph today. Currently it’s 70, feels like 71, with SSW winds around 10mph. Gusts around 21mph. Tomorrow’s temps will be about the same as today’s with increased winds. Winds should increase in the afternoon but should remain from similar directions.

The high was 77 while the low was 59 with light winds. Gusts up to 10mph today. Currently it’s 64, feels like 67, with ESE winds around 4mph. Tomorrow should be warm as well but temps may not get all the way up to 77. Temps are predicted to be between 64 and 74. Winds should be similar speeds but switch directions throughout the day.

The high was 72 while the low was 64 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 20mph today. Currently it’s 66, feels like 71, with N winds around 3mph. Tomorrow winds should be light to gentle and temps should be higher. Winds should be from the SSW in the morning then the SSE in the evening. Temps are predicted to get up to 75 so maybe the ocean temp will rise a bit and fishing will get hotter. Red Drum were the best catches today as well!

The Frisco Rod and Gun family has had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers as their family and shop dogs for over 40 years now. We have featured Thunder, Rip, Gen, and Sailor on different store tee shirts and they have been the most popular of the designs we have had. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers have been a breed that has proven their worth in the waters around Cape Hatteras, often mascots of the United States Lifesaving Station crews and historically hardy duck hunting partners. Not only that, they have greeted and visited with our customers through the decades!

We would like to introduce our newest generation of Chesapeakes to you on our new design. Taffy with her deadgrass color coat is on the top and litter mates Sadie and Captain are side by side underneath with their dark brown coats. Born and bred in Eastern North Carolina, these three can be found enjoying their Hatteras Island lifestyle of duck hunting, playing on the beach, or going for boat rides in the Pamlico Sound. You may even catch them here hard at work in the store!

Our three dogs join other icons of Hatteras Island on this print. Our famed Cape Hatteras Lighthouse that watches over all of us, the renowned gamefish of the surf, the Red Drum, the exciting Gulf Stream catch, the Blue Marlin and a favorite of the duck hunters, the Pintail are all here.
