• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph.

    The Buxton beaches had reports of bluefish, spanish mackerel and puppy drum. Out at Cape Point some spanish mackerel and puppy drum were reported.  The Frisco beaches had plenty of action today, but most were small fish.  Pompano, sea mullet, spanish mackerel and bluefish were all caught.  Hatteras beaches had catches of bluefish, croaker, flounder and sea mullet.

    The inshore boats had another pretty good day today.  They had reports of flounder, speckled and gray trout, bluefish and puppy drum.

    The offshore fleet had really good fishing today.  Lots of dolphin and yellowfin tuna, some nice citation wahoo, a few black fin tuna were all caught today.  5 sailfish, a blue marlin and a white marlin were released today.  Congratulations to “Sea Creature” charter boat with their Grand Slam they caught today while fishing out of Hatteras NC.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s.  There was a little bit wind today, around 5-10mph mostly out of the north east.

    The Buxton beaches had reports of bluefish and flounder.  The flounder were caught around the jetties at the old lighthouse site.  Frisco had catches of bluefish, puppy drum, sea mullet and flounder.  Hatteras beaches had catches of bluefish, croaker, small flounder and sea mullet.  The inshore boats had a good day today.  They had catches of flounder, speckled and gray trout, bluefish and puppy drum.  The offshore boats had a good day as well.  Some returned early to the docks with their limit of yellowfin tuna, along with some blackfin tuna, gaffer and bailer dolphin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 80’s.  There was very little wind today, around 5mph out of the south-west.

    Cape Point had reports of bluefish and puppy drum.  Frisco beaches had reports of flounder, sea mullet and bluefish.  The Hatteras beaches reported sea mullet, small bluefish, spot, croaker and flounder.

    The inshore boats had catches of red drum, keepers and releases.  The offshore bite was on today.  The boats had wahoo (some in the 40+ range), blackfin and yellowfin tuna, gaffer and bailer dolphin.  There were also 6 sailfish released.  The picture below is from “Godspeed Charters” with one of the dolphins caught today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly sunny skies.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.  The wind was out of the north-east at 5-15 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach and Cape Point bluefish, sea mullet and a few spanish mackerel were reported, just like yesterday.  The Frisco beaches had reports of bluefish, sea mullet and a few decent size flounder up to 18 inches.  Hatteras had bluefish, pompano, sea mullet and flounder all of the smaller variety.

    The inshore boats had good catches of keeper size puppy drum and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore boats caught the yellowfin and blackfin tuna pretty good.  A few dolphin and wahoo catches with a blue marlin, white marlin and 2 sailfish released.

    Today we had partly sunny skies with gusty winds.  The temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The wind was out of the north-east at 10-20 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach and Cape Point bluefish, sea mullet and a few spanish mackerel were reported.  The Frisco beaches had reports of bluefish, sea mullet and a few flounder.  Hatteras had bluefish, pompano, sea mullet and flounder

    The inshore boats had good catches of  puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore boats real good yellowfin and blackfin tuna fishing and some wahoo and scattered dolphin fishing.
