• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was sunny and cool today.  The winds were from the west at 5-8 mph with the temperatures in the low 50’s.

    Over on the Hatteras beach there is a little shot of warmer water that pushed onto the beach and it has produced real good blow toad fishing and a few sea mullet using shrimp.  The bluefish have also made a showing on the Hatteras beach  There were a few caught on the Frisco beach as well.  Still dog sharks and skates being caught on most beaches.

    No boats fishing inshore, but the bluefin tuna fishing offshore continues to be excellent.  Today several bluefin tuna were caught from 68 in to 90 in.  Their were also some yellowfin tuna, dolphin and amberjacks caught.  The bottom fisherman had a good day with tilefish and groupers caught.   Below is a nice photo of the “Godspeed” charter boat with one of the golden tilefish that they caught today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was sunny and cold today.  The winds were from the north-west switching to the south-west at 5-15 mph with the temperatures in the low 40’s.

    We sold some mullet and shrimp today but no reports back of fish caught.

    No boats fishing inshore, but the bluefin tuna fishing offshore was excellent today.  Several bluefin tuna were released today with a few brought back to the dock.  Pictured below is the “Good Times” charter boat with their 71″ bluefin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was overcast today with the temperatures dropping.  The winds were from the north at 5-15 mph with the temperatures in the low 50’s in the morning and upper 30’s by the late afternoon.

    The only fish reported today were some blow toads this morning on the Frisco beach.

    No boats fishing inshore or offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was sunny today.  The winds were from the north switching to the south-east at 5-10 mph with the temperatures in the mid 50’s.

    A few dog sharks caught from Cape Point.  Yesterday some bluefish were reported down on the Hatteras Beach along with dog sharks.

    No boats fishing inshore today.  One boat fishing offshore today.  They released a few bluefin tuna and boated one 68″ bluefin tuna which is pictured below from the “Good Times” charter boat.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was another nice day with warm temperatures and mostly sunny skies with periods of clouds moving through today.  The winds were from the west at 5-15 mph with the temperatures in the low 60’s.

    A few dog sharks caught from Cape Point again today.

    No boats fishing inshore today.  The only boat out today had real good bluefin tuna action.  Out of the four bluefin tunas caught 3 were released up to 94 inches.  The one pictured below was the keeper from the “Good Times” charter boat today.
