• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today in Frisco was sunny and windy.  We had west south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  Well Cape Point has had the big drum and big bluefish biting last night and tonight.  Along the Buxton beaches there were some nice sea mullet caught.  The Frisco beach today had some nice big bluefish and we weighed in a 7 lb 5 oz black drum caught on shrimp over ramp 49.  Picture is on the previous post.  The Ocracoke Surf Fishing Tournament starts tomorrow morning and ends on Saturday.  Good Luck to all the anglers.  The inshore boats had good catches of bluefish of all sizes and some citation red drum.  Offshore fishing was good with catches of gaffer dolphin and some blackfin tuna.

  • Black Drum on the Frisco Beach Today

    A gentleman caught this Black Drum weighing 7 lbs 5 ozs using shrimp over at ramp 49 in Frisco this afternoon.  Nice Catch!!


  • Big Bluefish on Frisco Beach

    Roy Priest  from Cleveland Ohio caught this nice 11 lb bluefish using cut mullet on the Frisco beach on Monday. Thank You Roy for bringing us your catch.  There have been many nice bluefish caught this past week.


  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today in Frisco was warm with sunny skies.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were upper 70’s.  The Buxton beaches had some nice sea mullet and bluefish of all sizes.  Cape Point had a big drum caught last night and chances are they will be there tonight as well for those who want to make the walk.  Be aware the night driving restrictions go into effect tonight at 9pm until 7am.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some big bluefish and some nice pompano.  The inshore boats had good bluefish catches with some big red drum releases.  Offshore boats came back with excellent blackfin tuna catches, good gaffer dolphin and a few wahoo.

    Today in Frisco it was sunny and warm.  We had east south-east winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  The surf fishing was a little slower today.  There were some big bluefish caught on the Buxton beach and some sea mullet.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some big bluefish, sea mullet and a few flounder.  Today the offshore fleet had good dolphin fishing, a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.
