Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today on Hatteras Island we had mostly sunny skies part of the day.   By the afternoon it was rainy.  The winds were from the south at 10 mph and the temperature’s reached the low 80’s.  The Cape Point drum bite showed up today.  There were many drum caught up to 36 inches and some bluefish all on finger mullet.  The Frisco beach had some bluefish and a few puppy drum caught.  Down at Hatteras Inlet the bluefish, flounder and puppy drum were biting pretty good.  The inshore boats dodged rain showers, but had good catches of speckled trout and puppy drum. No boats went out offshore today.

Today was mostly cloudy with intermittent rain showers throughout the day. A light south-east wind kept the temperatures relatively cool in the mid 70’s. Fishing at Cape Point continues to be pretty good with blue fish and spanish mackerel still hitting. Over on the Frisco beach, we had another good day of blue fish, puppy drum, sea mullet and flounder. Finger mullet and shrimp are still the bait of choice. Down at Hatteras inlet, there were blue fish and puppy drum being caught. Inshore fishing saw excellent speckled trout fishing and a few puppy drum mixed in. Offshore fishing was a little slower today. Of the few boats that fished, scattered wahoo, dolphin, yellowfin and blackfin tuna were caught.
