The weather was a little rough today. For most of the day we had showers with a pretty decent thunderstorm in the middle of the night. The wind blew out of the south-west at 10-15 mph and temperatures were in the high 80’s to low 90’s.Beach Fishing was actually pretty good today despite the weather. North beach reported lots of black tip sharks along with good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish at the point. South beach also had some catches of black tips today, as well as flounder, pompano, and sea mullet. The inlet reported nice catches of bluefish with spanish mackerel mixed in.

Inshore charters reported limits of speckled trout, keeper drum, and bluefish.

Offshore charters had a decent day even though no billfish were caught. There was a really good dolphin bite, most boats limited out.

Tomorrow sounds promising for the beaches. The wind is supposed to lay down tonight and switch directions to north at 5-10 mph. Hopefully with the wind change the south beach will clear up and pompano and sea mullet will really start biting again. We are also supposed to have sunny skies with temperatures in the low 90’s.

The weather was pretty nice today. Temperatures were in the high 80’s but felt like the high 90’s. The wind blew out of the west south-west at 15-20 mph. For most of the day it was sunny, while it rained a little during the middle of the night last night.
Beach Fishing was slow today from the south beach. We heard of one pompano off of ramp 49.   There were some bluefish on the sound side of the inlet this afternoon. With the high winds it was hard to hold bottom today. No Inshore Charters left the dock today.

Offshore Charters only had a few leave the dock. Hatteras Fever released 3 sailfish. There were also reports of lots of dolphin, most boats limiting out.

Tomorrow is supposed to be scattered thunderstorms with a 60% chance of rain, with winds blowing 15-20 mph out of the southwest. South beach will probably be as rough as it was today if not worse.
