Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was real nice and sunny.  We had north-north-east winds at 8-13 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.  There were a few reports of speckled trout and a black drum on the Avon beach.  In the Hook near Cape Point there were some bluefish caught.  On the Frisco Beach we had real good catches of puppy drum.  No reports from the Hatteras beaches.  The offshore fleet had pretty good catches of dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was beautiful.  Lots of sunshine and not much wind.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-14 mph and temperatures in the mid 60’s.  It seems that just south of Cape Point has been the place to be with all of the swell still around.  There are still bluefish and a few puppy drum being caught there.  That’s about it from the beach until the ocean calms down.  The inshore boats were catching speckled trout today.  The offshore bite was really good.  Citation wahoo’s being caught, one 56 lbs and 44 lbs.  There were also some nice 30 lb class yellowfin tuna and some blackfin tuna.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was mostly cloudy with some sunshine late in the afternoon.  The winds were from the north-east at 11-18 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.  There is still some swell around from the low pressure this weekend so it was a little rough.  Cape Point had some bluefish and one guy caught a 18 inch puppy drum.  The Hook and down the Frisco beach had some bluefish and a few skates.  No reports from the Hatteras beach.  Once again the offshore and inshore boats did not fish due to bad weather.  Maybe tomorrow.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Overcast and windy all day.  The winds were from the north-east at 20-30 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s all day.  There were a few fish caught in the Hook just south of Cape Point.  A few bluefish.  That about it for fishing today.  Well the 54th Annual Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Surf Fishing Tournament started off slow and almost ended the same way.   During the last session of tournament yesterday, the team “Roanoke Surf Fishing Club”  were fishing in the Hook and had zero points, but one bluefish gave them 2 point and then Gary Creasy of Hardy VA hooked into a nice fish.  Gary fought it down the beach in the rough surf about 200 yds and finally beached the 46 inch Red Drum to win the 54th Annual Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Surf Fishing Tournament with 90 total points.  Great job guys.  In 2nd place “SCABS/Surf Casters and Bull Shooters” had 64 points and in 3rd “South Jersey Surf Casters” with 63 points.  The 1st place women’s team were the “Show Stoppers” with 16 points.  Great job to all the anglers and thank you for shopping with us.

Well it is has been a wet and windy day.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph and picking up around noon to 20-30 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 60’s.  It was rough all day on both sides, north and south beaches.  The only fish reported were in the hook by Cape Point and down near Hatteras Inlet.  There were bluefish and one team caught a 46 inch red drum in the hook this afternoon.  I’m sure that was the winning catch of the 54th Annual Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Surf Fishing Tournament.  I will post the winners later tonight when the results are in. Tomorrow is the Bob Bernard individual tournament.  No boats fished today due to the bad weather.
