Beach Fishing was a great improvement today as we weighed in a few citation pompano and some good catches of Sea Mullet, Pompano, and Spot were reported. If the wind continues to blow like it is now, tomorrow should be another good day.

Offshore Charter guides had a great day today to snap the streak of bad fishing. 3 billfish were released. One Blue Marlin was caught by Bite Me, one Sailfish by Good Times, and one Sailfish from the Release. Dolphin fishing was good along with scattered wahoo, good blackfin tuna, and a few amberjacks.

Beach Fishing was slow again today due to the SW wind. We had one fisherman report of catching small spot and croaker early on. The forecast still calls for thunderstorms with a SW wind for the next week with a break tomorrow. There is a slight chance of the wind switching to NE tomorrow, according to the weather channel.
Inshore Charter Guides reported nice catches of Spanish Mackerel and speckled trout around Hatteras Inlet and back in the sound.
There was one Charter that went out of Hatteras Harbor Marina today. They brought back a good catch of bailer and gaffer Dolphin.
The weather is still preventing the spectacular fishing we had about a week ago. With this slight wind change tomorrow sounds like a day to give it a real good shot. A North wind always clears up the water on the south side and even with rough seas we seen quite a few big pompano and sea mullet before. Tomorrow looks like possibly the best day until Wednesday of next week when the wind is supposed to shift NE.
