Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
We had a beautiful day here on Hatteras Island. The winds were coming from the west this morning, at lunch it switched to the southwest blowing between 5 and 9 mph. . We had a high of 80 today.
Avon beaches had catches of sea mullet, trout and bluefish today. On down in Buxton, there were catches of sea mullet. Here in Frisco at Ramp 49 there were catches of sea mullet and a nice pompano. John Lynch, from South Mills NC caught a nice 2lb 4oz pompano today. (pic below) Hatteras had catches of bluefish, blow toads and sea mullet. There was also a cobia caught off the beach there.
The inshore boats had good catches of red drum and spanish mackerel. There were a few cobia caught today.
It was a beautiful day offshore too, boats came back with dolphin, blackfin tuna and some wahoo. Those that bottomfished had catches of triggerfish, grouper and vermillion snapper. There were also a few billfish released today!
