Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was mostly sunny with some scattered showers. We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
Fishing was a little slower today. The Buxton beaches caught a few sea mullet and bluefish today. Out at Cape Point a few big red drum were released today. The Frisco beach reported a few sea mullet and bluefish. Down on the Hatteras beach there were some bluefish, croaker and sea mullet caught.
All of the inshore boats are targeting cobia and today several were caught. The Pamlico sound is still producing some good blue fishing and puppy drum. The offshore fleet is still catching big dolphin, a few wahoo and blackfin tuna. A few sailfish were released. The “Free Agent” pictured had a awasome day today with several Cobia caught. Now is the best time to come on down chase after the cobia’s here off of the coast of Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly sunny. We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
We had pretty good fishing today. The Buxton beaches had reports of sea mullet, pompano and bluefish again today. Cape Point anglers caught a few big red drum today. The Frisco beach reported some good sea mullet, bluefish and a 32″ puppy drum. Down on the Hatteras beach some bluefish, croaker and sea mullet were caught.
The inshore boats caught some gray trout and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound. The cobia fishing was really good around the shoals at Cape Point. The offshore fleet had excellent dolphin fishing today with a few grouper and wahoo caught. A nice gaffer dolphin caught aboard the “Godspeed: charter boat pictured below.

Today was mostly sunny with some scattered storm clouds. We had south-west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.
Today was one of the better days for fishing. The Buxton beaches had reports of sea mullet, pompano and bluefish today. Out at Cape Point over a dozen big red drum were caught as well as a 20 lb cobia. The spanish mackerel also made a showing today. The Frisco beach reported some good sea mullet, a few puppy drum, pompano and bluefish. Down on the Hatteras beach a 49lb cobia was caught as well as bluefish, flounder, sea mullet and puppy drum.
The inshore boats had a few nice red drum, some spanish mackerel and bluefish caught today. The offshore fleet had excellent dolphin fishing, a few blackfin tuna, some grouper and two white marlin and a blue marlin were released. The picture below is a 45″ red drum released aboard the “Hook Up” charter boat.
The River Rig is a 2 drop bottom rig made of fluro carbon with no snaps or swivels. Catches more Puppy Drum, Bluefish, Striper.

Today was mostly sunny. We had south winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
Today was another good day of fishing. The Buxton beaches had reports of sea mullet, pompano, bluefish and sheepshead again today. Out at Cape Point around 6 big red drum were caught. One was as big as 53″. More sharks and rays also reported. The Frisco beach and Hatteras beaches had some good sea mullet and bluefish catches.
The inshore boats had a few nice cobia, some spanish mackerel and bluefish caught today. The offshore fleet had good dolphin fishing, a few blackfin tuna, some grouper and tilefish and one nice blue marlin release. The picture below is today’s catch aboard the “Release” charter boat.
