Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly sunny.  We had south winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Today was another good day of fishing.  The Buxton beaches had reports of sea mullet, pompano, bluefish and sheepshead again today.   Out at Cape Point around 6 big red drum were caught.  One was as big as 53″.  More sharks and rays also reported.  The Frisco beach and Hatteras beaches had some good sea mullet and bluefish catches.

The inshore boats had a few nice cobia, some spanish mackerel and bluefish caught today.  The offshore fleet had good dolphin fishing, a few blackfin tuna, some grouper and tilefish and one nice blue marlin release.  The picture below is today’s catch aboard the “Release” charter boat.
