The weather was once again similar to the weather the last few days. SW winds blowing 10-20 mph with cloudy skies.
Beach Fishing was slow again today due to the SW wind. We had one fisherman report of catching small spot and croaker early on. The forecast still calls for thunderstorms with a SW wind for the next week with a break tomorrow. There is a slight chance of the wind switching to NE tomorrow, according to the weather channel.
Inshore Charter Guides reported nice catches of Spanish Mackerel and speckled trout around Hatteras Inlet and back in the sound.
There was one Charter that went out of Hatteras Harbor Marina today. They brought back a good catch of bailer and gaffer Dolphin.
The weather is still preventing the spectacular fishing we had about a week ago. With this slight wind change tomorrow sounds like a day to give it a real good shot. A North wind always clears up the water on the south side and even with rough seas we seen quite a few big pompano and sea mullet before. Tomorrow looks like possibly the best day until Wednesday of next week when the wind is supposed to shift NE.
