7-3-11 Fishing Report

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks fishing report for Hatteras Island:

The weather was more rough today than it was yesterday. The wind did kick up and switch to the SW blowing 10-15 mph. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 80’s again today.

Beach Fishing was slow, but not dead today. Reports of a few nice sized sea mullet and pompano came in. Tomorrow should be about the same since the wind is supposed to blow out of the same direction, with maybe even a little more force.

Inshore Charter guides reported quite a nice day. They had catches of speckled trout, bluefish, and flounder.

Offshore Charters also had a good report today. They said that the day was nice with a little breeze. Dolphin fishing was fair, a couple of wahoo, few blackin tuna and a couple amberjacks. The Big Eye had a really nice day, releasing 2 blue marlin, and 1 white marlin.

The forecast for tomorrow is isolated thunderstorms with a 30% chance of rain. Winds blowing SW 15-25 mph and temperatures in the mid to high 80’s.
