8-15-11 Outer Banks Fishing Report

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Another nice day with sunny skies and showers.  The winds were from the north at 10-15 mph and highs in the mid 80’s.  The Buxton beach had scattered catches of pompano, sea mullet, croakers, flounder, and spots on shrimp and blood worms.  Cape Point is still having good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish on lures in the morning and late afternoon.  Speckled trout, puppy drum, flounder, and bluefish were reported today in the sound.  Offshore the dolphin fishing was really good.  A few wahoo and blackfin tuna also reported.
