8-20-11 Outer Banks Fishing Report

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was once again nice and sunny.  We had light south-east winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low to mid 80’s.  There were lots of small pompano on the south beach. Bluefish and spanish mackerel at the point using lures . Some citation sea mullet on the Hatteras beaches.  None of the inshore boats fished but there was good dolphin fishing offshore. Several nice wahoo were caught with fish up to 40 lbs. The fleet out of Hatteras Harbor reported 5 sailfish released.

Robert Kilgore caught this 1lb 15 oz citation Sea Mullet on the south beach using sand fleas. Pretty work, Robert!
