Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today the weather in Frisco was mostly sunny with a few rain showers.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s,  The winds picked up a bit from yesterday.  The edge of Tropical Storm Beryl is possibly going to start creating some effects by tomorrow morning and 24 hours later hopefully Beryl will be off the coast heading to the north-east away from land.  From the beaches in Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras the big bluefish bite again on cut mullet.  There are also some cobias being caught from the surf over ramp 43 in Buxton and ramp 55 in Hatteras.  The offshore fleet had real good gaffer dolphin fishing, some of the dolphin were as close as 10-15 mph offshore.  The boats had a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  The “Reliance” released a blue marlin and a sailfish today.  Below is a photo of the “Godspeed” charter boat with one of the many gaffer dolphin caught today.
