Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today the weather in Frisco was cool again but the skies were sunny.  We had north-east winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.  On the Avon beaches there were some big bluefish caught.  The water on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches were somewhat clear and there were a few sea mullet and pompano caught as well as bluefish.  The inshore boats had a few gray and speckled trout, some bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught also.  The offshore fleet had good dolphin fishing, mostly bailer size, some scattered catches of wahoo and blackfin tuna.  A good amount of sea bass were caught and one sailfish was released.  Below is nice shot from the “Native Son” charter boat of a dolphin in the water.
