Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was sunny today.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The winds picked up all day and the fishing was slow.  A few sea mullet and bluefish on the Buxton  and Avon beaches.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some pompano, sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  Some flounder were caught down around Hatteras Inlet.  The inshore boats had good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish.  The offshore fishing was a little slower today.  Some decent dolphin catches a scattered wahoo and blackfin tuna.  One blue marlin released by the “Hatteras Fever II”.  The bottom fishing offshore was pretty good with triggerfish, sea bass and snapper.  Below is a cool shot of some dolphin from the “Native Son” charter boat.
