Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was sunny, hot and stormy in the afternoon.  We had south-west winds 10-15 mph most of the day.  By 4pm a line of heavy lighting and rain moved through and produced heavy lighting, thunder, rain and wind.  Some of the gusts were as high as 50 mph.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  Today the Buxton beaches had a few sea mullet and bluefish.  Out on the Hatteras beaches real good sea mullet catches today.  The inshore boats caught lots of speckled and gray trout.  Some bluefish and a few keeper red drum were caught.  The offshore boats caught some dolphin, a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  Three blue marlin were released.  Below is the “Bite Me” charter boat with one of the two blue marlin they released today.

The Daiwa Ballistic Spinning Reel is built for saltwater.  Ballistic spinning reels feature lightweight, corrosion-proof Zaion Carbon construction that rivals Magnesium for strength and rigidity.   This reel is awesome for inshore fishing for trout and red drum or casting spoons to the spanish mackerel and bluefish in the near shore waters of the Pamlico sound and the Atlantic Ocean here on Hatteras Island.
