Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was sunny with calm winds again today.  We had south winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  We received good news today.  Cape Point opened to ORV’s and the fishing was really good.  Lots of sharks, spanish mackerel and bluefish being caught.  Some sea mullet and flounder were biting well too.  The Frisco beach had reports of bluefish and some sea mullet.  The Hatteras beaches also had bluefish and sea mullet with a few flounders.  The inshore boats had good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Decent catches of speckled and gray trout and big red drum.  The offshore fleet had a bunch of wahoo, real good dolphin and some blackfin tuna.  The bottom fishing was good too.  Catches of tilefish, sea bass, triggerfish and grouper were reported.  Below is a nice 42 lb snowy grouper aboard the “Bite Me”.
