Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was rainy this morning and clearing the rest of the day.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were around 80 degrees.  The fishing in Avon was pretty good today.  There were some nice sea mullet and bluefish, a few pompano, spot and puppy drum caught.  The Buxton beach also had the puppy drum bite along with some bluefish and spanish mackerel on Cape Point.  Over on the Frisco beach a few sea mullet and spot were reported.  A guy came in today and had pictures of a puffer fish that he caught yesterday on the Frisco beach.  The Hatteras beach report was lots of pompano and some sea mullet.  The inshore boats had a good day of speckled and gray trout, some flounder and red drum in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught outside Hatteras Inlet in pretty good numbers.  The offshore boats caught some nice dolphin, a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  Three sailfish were released.  The bottom fishing was good today with sea bass, triggerfish, some grouper and snapper caught.
