Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

We hope everyone took a moment today to remember all the brave men and women who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.

The Weather in Frisco was nice, sunny and cool again today.  We had north-east winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in upper 70’s.  Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches there were some spot, sea mullet, bluefish and small puppy drum caught.  Out at Cape Point the small puppy drum bite was really good.  Some citation sea mullet were also caught there along with a few bluefish and pompano.  The Frisco beach had catches of sea mullet, bluefish and pompano.  Down around Hatteras there were some bluefish, small puppy drum and sea mullet reported.  The inshore boats caught some gray and speckled trout, a few bluefish and big red drum.  The offshore boats had a slow day with a few dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.  Some grouper and trigger fish were caught from the bottom.
