Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was sunny and nice with windy conditions.  We had north-east winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  On the Avon and Buxton beaches there were sea mullet, pompano, puppy drum and bluefish caught.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish and puppy drum bite was good.  Some big red drum were reported along with some sea mullet and pompano.  Over on the Frisco beach the small puppy drum with some keepers, bluefish and sea mullet were caught.  Down at Hatteras Inlet there were bluefish, spanish mackerel, flounder and puppy drum reported.  The inshore boats had a good day of spanish mackerel and flounder.  The offshore fishing was a little slow.  A few dolphin, blackfin tuna and wahoo were reported.  Some nice tilefish, b liners, red snapper and grouper were brought up from the bottom.  One sailfish was released.
