Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was beautiful today.  We had north-west winds switching to the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s today.

Bluefish, puppy drum, spot and sea mullet were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches had some bluefish and puppy drum.  Out at Cape Point there was a bluefish blitz just before dark and some caught throughout the day.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some bluefish, flounder and some puppy drum were reported.  The puppy drum bite was better on the Hatteras beach.  The Picture below are some nice speckled trout caught today in the Pamlico Sound.  One was 3 lbs 13 ozs and the other was 3 lbs 10 ozs.

The inshore boats had excellent speckled trout catches.  Lots of small flounder were caught as well.   Boats fishing offshore today had good wahoo and a few dolphin and some blackfin tuna. One sailfish was released.
