Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: Today the weather in Frisco was beautiful today. We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s. Hurricane Sandy, yes a hurricane in October. Its going to create lots of swell and rain. Winds should not be above 50 mph we hope. They are calling for north-east winds the next few days. On Friday 15-20 mph, Friday night 20-25 and Saturday 25-35 mph with gusts to 50 mph possible.
Bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet were reported on the Avon beach. The Buxton beaches and Cape Point had some bluefish and puppy drum. On the Frisco beach some bluefish, puppy drum and lots of sea mullet on shrimp were reported. Their were flounder and bluefish down on the Hatteras beach.
The inshore boats had good speckled and gray trout catches and lots of small flounder were caught. Boats fishing offshore today had good wahoo and dolphin and some blackfin and yellowfin tuna. One sailfish was released.
