Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was partly cloudy with some heavy rain showers from the first bands of Hurricane Sandy and her swell .  We had north-east winds 10-15 mph with higher gusts and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.  Hurricane Sandy is projected to push-off the coast until it gets just east of NC and track towards the north-east coast.

Bluefish, puppy drum, flounder and sea mullet were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches and Cape Point had some bluefish.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beach some bluefish, puppy drum and flounder were reported.

The inshore boats had good speckled and gray trout catches and a few flounder were caught.  Boats fishing offshore today had good wahoo and a few blackfin and yellowfin  tuna.
