Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had a mostly sunny day.  The winds were from the north-east at 6-12 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 40’s.

Not much to report today.  The north beaches were rough around Avon and Buxton but the Frisco and Hatteras beaches were pretty nice.  They had a few sea mullet and dog sharks.  .

There were a few boats fishing offshore today.  They found the bluefin tunas in the 200 lb range.  A few dolphin and some real good bottom fishing was reported with triggerfish and black sea bass being caught.  Below is the “Godspeed” charter boat with their 200 lb 72″ bluefin tuna.
