Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was partly sunny with a dying wind today.  The winds were from the north-west switching to the north-east at 15-20 mph and slowly down to 5 mph by dark.  The temperatures were in the low 50’s.  The low pressure has passed and the ocean overwash on the northern beaches are minor at  the moment but could be worse as the swell increases through Saturday.

The Hatteras- Ocracoke Ferry is back up and running.  They are using an alternative route which will take 60-70 minutes to cross until the primary route is finished.

We have no reports of fish caught today with the heavy surf from the low pressure moving up the coast.

No boats fishing inshore or offshore.
