Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was sunny and cool today.  The winds were from the west at 5-8 mph with the temperatures in the low 50’s.

Over on the Hatteras beach there is a little shot of warmer water that pushed onto the beach and it has produced real good blow toad fishing and a few sea mullet using shrimp.  The bluefish have also made a showing on the Hatteras beach  There were a few caught on the Frisco beach as well.  Still dog sharks and skates being caught on most beaches.

No boats fishing inshore, but the bluefin tuna fishing offshore continues to be excellent.  Today several bluefin tuna were caught from 68 in to 90 in.  Their were also some yellowfin tuna, dolphin and amberjacks caught.  The bottom fisherman had a good day with tilefish and groupers caught.   Below is a nice photo of the “Godspeed” charter boat with one of the golden tilefish that they caught today.
