Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was beautiful.  We had sunny skies with light south-east winds with the temperatures reaching 71 degrees.

The blow toads and sea mullets were caught from all beaches.  Avon, Cape Point, Frisco and Hatteras beaches were all decent using shrimp and bloodworms.  A few puppy drum were caught on the Hatteras beach also.

No boats fishing inshore and the offshore fishing was slow but the weather was so nice.  A few dolphin, wahoo, blackfin and yellowfin tunas were caught on the troll.  Plenty of amberjacks were caught and those who made drops to the bottom were rewarded with tilefish and grouper.

costa del mar caye sunglasses
The Costa Del Mar Caye, pronounced ‘key’, is the Spanish word for any small, sandy island that was formed on a reef. It’s also the natural habitat of these versatile full-frame wayfarers. Their stainless steel spring hinges help you stay relaxed on the caye – just the kind of place we love to be.
