Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had overcast skies.  The winds were from the west switching to north at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s dropping to the low 50’s..

We had more good fishing today.  On the Buxton beach puppy drum and sea mullet were caught.  Out at Cape Point good puppy drum,  bluefish and sea mullet were caught..  Over on the Frisco beach black drum, some puppy drum, a few small flounder and a some decent keeper speckled trout reported around the Pier in Frisco.

There were no boats out today, inshore.  The offshore fishing was pretty good but rough conditions caused boats to come in early.    Good dolphin and wahoo catches with citations and some blackfin tuna were caught.
