Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today started off with clear skies, becoming cloudy this afternoon with rain showers off and on.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph with a temperature of 63F.

There was a fairly descent puppy drum bite today on the Frisco beach.  The bait of choice today was shrimp and also some soft baits like the Berkley Gulps, Zmans and Bass Assassins.  Cape Point had a few puppies caught this afternoon also.  The picture below is of Josh Brown and his keeper puppy drum.

No boats fished inshore today.  The offshore boats had nice catches of dolphin, blackfin tuna and amberjacks.  Bottom fishing was also good.  Nice catches of tile fish and grouper.  The picture below is from Godspeed Charters with a 45lb snowy grouper.
