Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was another beautiful day on the island. We had sunny skies with West-South-West winds at 5-10mph that shifted to South-South-West winds late in the afternoon. The temperature was in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s throughout the day.

The fish were all over the beaches today. In Buxton there were sea-mullet and drum caught. In Frisco there were reports of drum, sea-mullet and blow-toads, also even a stray croaker.

Puppy drum bites were excellent inshore today.

Offshore today the bite seemed to be the best on the bottom. Although there were some dolphin and blackfin tuna caught trolling, the triggers, grouper, snapper, amberjack, and seabass were the hot ticket today.
