Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was a little cloudy but turned out to be a beautiful day. The winds were East-North-East at 5-10mph and the temperature was in the upper 70’s.

Today the beach was packed with fish. In Avon Sea-Mullet, Flounder, Croaker, and Bluefish were caught. In Buxton the Sea-Mullet, Pompano, scattered Sheepshead and a Cobia were caught. From the Frisco beaches the Bluefish, Pompano, and some Sea-Mullet. In Hatteras, Flounder, Sea-Mullet, and some nice Bluefish were caught.

Jessica Wise caught this nice citation 2lb. 8oz. Pompano of Ramp 49 in Frisco.

Even the kids caught some nice fish today. Makalob Fuller of Grandy NC caught a nice citation Pompano.

Inshore today the fishing was hot, from Cobia to Drum in the inlet and Flounder and Trout in the sound.

Heres PJ Williams with his 45lb Cobia he caught in the inlet today.

Offshore today there was a large variety of fish caught. The Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna are still hanging around. From the deep the Tilefish, Triggerfish, and Sea Bass were caught. There were some Amberjack and a Barracuda caught. For billfish today there were quite a few White marlins released also a Blue marlin was released.
