Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies. The winds were out of the south-east around 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
Around the Avon beach today there were reports some sea mullet, spot and croakers caught. On the Buxton beaches they caught small bluefish and some sea mullet and spot. Over on the Frisco beach we had some small bluefish The Hatteras beach reports sea mullet and puppy drum.
The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and spanish mackerel.
The offshore boats had another a decent day of gaffer size dolphin with some pretty decent yellow fin Tuna. The trigger and black belly rosefish from the bottom was good.
The 56th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament only has two days to fish. Al lot of boats fished the first four days out of 6 which means there will be fewer boats fishing the last day on Saturday. There were 5 blue marlin and 11 white marlin released today. Two blue marlin were brought to the scales today a 412 lb by the “Chainlink” to take third place for just a few hours when the “Ava D” put up a 491 lb to capture third place for now.
