Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we partly cloudy skies with periods of sunshine..  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Today was much nicer than yesterday.  The Avon beaches had some croakers reported.  The Buxton beaches were a little better with spot, bluefish, sea mullet and a few flounder.  Over on the Frisco beach we had some sea mullet, pompano, a puppy drum and keeper flounder.  The Hatteras beaches. had a few puppy drum and some flounder.

The inshore boats had a good catch of puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound and just out side of Hatteras Inlet some decent bluefish catches and a few spanish mackerel.

The offshore boats had a pretty good day fishing with dolphin and black fin tuna bite pretty good and an excellent day of wahoo fishing.  There were a few blue marlin and sail fish released.
