Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The skies are continuing to stay clear and sunny for another day. The temperature was in the mid 80’s today with winds from the south-west at 5-10 mph.

The fishing from the beach is still getting good. In Avon and Hatteras the sea-mullet, spot, bluefish, croaker, and spanish were biting.  In Buxton the pompano and seamullet were biting along with some spanish and blues at the point. From the Frisco beach there were some scattered sea-mullet biting.

Inshore today the drum fishing was excellent. Report of an avid fly fisherman released several he caught today. There was also some flounder and bluefish caught in the sound.

Kimber Ballance and Shayley Ballance caught some nice drum last night in the Pamlico sound.
