Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The ocean is still rough with Hurricane Cristobal passing way east of us.

Up on the Avon beaches there was still too much swell to fish.  The Buxton beaches around Cape Point did have a few puppy drum and bluefish caught.  The Frisco beach over Ramp 49 had reports of sea mullet, spot, croaker and a few puppy drum. Down on the Hatteras beaches and the inlet there were bluefish, pompano, croakers and a few sea mullet reported.

The inshore boats caught lots of puppy drum and some bluefish in the Pamlico Sound

No boats fished offshore due to the windy weather..
