Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had partly cloudy skies..  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

Up on the Avon beaches the ocean was pretty rough with no fish reported.  A few bluefish were caught around the Buxton beaches.  Out at Cape Point a few bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught.  The Frisco beach had a few more nice puppy drum. On the Hatteras beaches some bluefish, pompano and flounder were reported.

The inshore boats caught lots of puppy drum and yearling drum today in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was pretty good just outside Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats had some rough conditions with scattered catches of wahoo and dolphin.
