Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Sunny skies today with a 10-15 mph North-East wind made for a good day fishing. the temperature was around 70.

From the beach today the wind didn’t seem to stop the fish from biting. in Avon there was bluefish and puppy drum caught. At the point in buxton there was drum caught for most of the day. From Frisco beaches there was bluefish, flounder, and puppy drum. In Hatteras the pompano are still biting. The bluefish, sea-mullet, flounder, and puppy drum were biting as well.

Inshore today there wasn’t much fishing with the wind but a few drum were caught.

Offshore today the wahoo bite was scattered. A few boats caught limits of dolphin along with a scattered yellowfin tuna bite. The billfish bite was very slow today with a blue marlin and a sailfish released.
