Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

The day started out with scattered rain showers and cool temperatures. The skies cleared and temperatures rose to the mid 70’s. The winds were east 5-10 mph.

Fishing picked up from the beach today. In Avon there was sea-mullet, bluefish, flounder, grey trout, and some puppy drum. In Buxton there was some bluefish and a few drum caught at cape point. Here in Frisco there was some small flounder, a few puppy drum, and we heard of a pompano caught later in the day. Hatteras beach had a lot of current but from the sound side there was flounder and bluefish.

Inshore today there was a good bite of puppy drum in the sound.

Offshore today there was dolphin and a few yellow fin tuna caught.
