Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was windy and humid.  We had south-west winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s with a heat index in the upper 90’s.

Up on the Avon beach there were some croaker, spot and sea mullet reported.  Around the Buxton beaches croaker, blow toads and puppy drum were reported. Over on the Frisco beach we had sea mullet, small pompano, croaker and a few puppy drum early this morning.  Hatteras had sea mullet, croaker and spot.

The inshore boats had some red drum, sea mullet and some clams.

Only a couple of boats ventured offshore today to brave the rough south-west conditions and they caught some dolphin in the bailer and gaffer size range.
