Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was another beautiful day on Hatteras Island.  The winds were from the southeast at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

Up on the Avon beach spot and croaker were reported.  Around the Buxton beach there were bluefish caught.  Over on the Frisco beach croaker, spot and sea mullet were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches there were reports of sea mullet, spot, croaker, flounder and pompano.

The inshore boats had good catches of red drum in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel and bluefish catches were scattered just outside Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats had scattered catches of dolphin and wahoo with a few barracudas and amberjacks in the mix.  One sailfish was released.
