Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was sunny and warm. The winds were from the southeast at 10-12 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
Up on the Avon beach sea mullet, spot and croaker were reported. Around the Buxton beach there were a few spanish mackerel caught. Over on the Frisco beach croaker and sea mullet were caught. Down on the Hatteras beaches there were reports of sea mullet, spot, croaker, flounder and pompano.
The inshore boats had good catches of red drum in the keeper range and several 40 inches plus in the Pamlico Sound. The speckled trout bite was really good today with some gray trout mixed in, Pictured below is the charter boat “Adventure” with a 47″ red drum caught in the Pamlico Sound today.
The offshore boats had scattered catches of dolphin and wahoo with some good bottom fishing for b liners, trigger fish and amberjack. Two sailfish were released.
