Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was another beautiful day on the island. The temperatures were in the low 80’s for most of the day. The winds were 5-10 mph from the east in the morning turning to the north later in the afternoon.

From the beach today the fishing was good. In Avon there was spot, sea mullet, croaker, pompano and spanish mackerel. In Buxton there wasn’t much from the beach but on the sound side there was puppy drum. Here in Frisco there was pompano, sea-mullet and croaker biting. In Hatteras there was bluefish, spot, sea-mullet, pompano and croaker caught.

Inshore today the fishing was great. The big red drum are still here. Just outside the inlet there was spanish and king mackerel caught.

Offshore today the dolphin fishing was great with most boats catching limits. The wahoo and blackfin tuna fishing was scattered.

Frabill Seine Nets

Special poly netting won’t absorb water; dries fast. Unlike brown poly nets, moisture won’t rot Frabill floats. Camouflage black color blends in, won’t spook bait. Heavy-duty floats won’t crush or break off. Evenly spaced floats and weights for uniform spread and tracking.
